Making You Feel The Rhythm Is My Occupation: Playlists For Different Moods

I'm a huge music fan. It dominates my life. It helps me cope. It transports me back in time, energizes me in the present, and excites me for the future. Below I have shared some of my personalized playlists that I lean on depending on my mood. In case you haven't picked up on this from the titles of some of my posts, I tend to like older music. So while I gladly share some music recommendations with you, be forewarned that 75% is pre-1990.

Playlist: Feel Good

This is a playlist for when I just need a pick-me-up. All these songs are guaranteed to make me smile, tap my feet, sing along, or do an awkward shoulder dance at my desk or in my car.

This is a playlist of songs that put me in a more serene or contemplative mood. Many of these are my favourite songs. I usually have this playlist on when I am working.

This playlist is a collection of instrumental melodies and ambient and classical music. I usually have this playlist on when I am reading or just need to relax.

Bonus Playlist: Summer Tunes

I have listened to the same playlist of "summer songs" for the past 10 years, and I rarely add to it. Like during Christmas, summer is when I love to indulge in my nostalgia, so this playlist is a collection of songs that remind me of simpler times, warm weather, and specific summer memories. It's amazing how a song can carry you back to a certain time in your life, similar to the power of a scent.
